The Art House
A working gallery in one of the original homestead buildings — where you can meet the makers, not just their work.
The Art House opened its doors on 6th December 2025, bringing a new creative space to Hoedspruit. We believe that art connects us to the land, to each other, and to the rich cultural heritage of Limpopo and the Lowveld.
Resident artists & studios
Regional painters, printmakers, ceramicists and beaders share studio space and wall space. Exhibitions change through the season, and the doors to the studios stay open.

Bianca Black
After a decade in interior design, Bianca channels the rhythms and colours of the African bush into bold abstract paintings. Her work blends clean lines with expressive texture and playful pattern.
Wildlife & Fine Artist
Kim Kay
A versatile artist dedicated to preserving the beauty of the natural world through vibrant wildlife paintings, birdlife studies, and botanical works in various media including charcoal, oil and watercolour.
Wildlife Photographer
Emma Gatland
A CNN-featured photographer known for her creative approach to wildlife imagery. Emma captures the raw spirit of Africa—from elephants at golden hour to rhinos in conservation.
Community Artisans
Kulani Collective
Born during the pandemic to support local livelihoods, the Kulani Collective brings together skilled artisans creating traditional and contemporary craft with purpose and heart.
